Here are a few influences that have inspired me throughout the years of my life:

Andrew Kramer - Video CoPilot - His work and videos inspire me to play more with Adobe After Effects which is my favorite Adobe program. If you have a second Check out some of his work on the Video CoPilot blog of him at http://www.videocopilot.net/blog/author/andrew-kramer/

Juxtapoz Magazine - I have been familiar with this magazine for quite a while and i love the art that gets put in. I highly recommend checking it out if you have NEVER seen it. Go check it out NOW.  http://www.juxtapoz.com/

Games (Video Games) - There has been a lot of good games since the start of the gaming industry. I just wanna state a few i really liked that have inspried me.

  • Hiro Kojima - I know its not a game, But He as a game devolper. Has made some of the best games to date. The stories so involving and well just great story telling all around. Most know him for his work on the MGS series, but he also also had his hands in many other things. Also with his dismiss from Konami at the end of 2015. He is now in work with his own company on a new game "Death Stranding".

  • Dead Space Series (1-3) - Are a space mans nightmare and dreams in the same thing. From the amazing visuals to sound the game with have you in excitment and fear through the whole game. All 15+ hours of it. I have the first 2 games down to less than 6 hours beaten. Also there is 2 movies that go inbetween the games so in order they go. g1-m1-g2-m2-g3    (g=game/ m=movie)

  • Resident Evil Series (only 0-3, including remasters) - I dont even know what to say about it. Its just all in all a great experience even if the visuals are a bit dated. The story telling and design of the entire game is spot on. The first 4 games all go together with the books. Which are my favorite books of all time.

I am a big time movie watcher but i am also quite stubborn on the movies i watch. Here is a few movies i really liked and why: (most of my choices are Mind *uck Movies. The kind that make you watch it about 20 times before you get it.)

  • Fight Club - Norton plays the unnamed protagonist, an "everyman" who is discontented with his white-collar job. He forms a "fight club" with soap maker Tyler Durden, played by Pitt, and they are joined by men who also want to fight recreationally. All is well and weird at this point but it gets worse/better. Depends on your look on life. That is my favorite thing about this movie. It really makes you think about your life, the choices you make, and thinks you love. (FYI - Edward Nortons characters name is Sebastian in the comic; after the experience of the movie).

"The things you own end up owning you."

"It’s only after we’ve lost everything that we’re free to do anything."

  • Triangle - George plays a single mother who goes on a boating trip with several friends. When they are forced to abandon their ship, they board a derelict ocean liner, where they become convinced that someone is stalking them. At this time in the movie you think you have it worked out on how this movie is going to play out. All of the sudden it throws a curve ball at you. This movie is definitly a psychological horror thriller and will confuse you to HELL and back the first time you watch it. Not many movies can do that to me anymore. That alone is why this is one of my favorites. Check it out

  • Primer - a 2004 American independent science fiction drama film about the accidental discovery of time travel. This is a must watch, but just like the rest of my movies you may have to watch 10 times to get it all. I've seen it about 6-7 time and there are parts i am still lost about. Also just for the sake of argument "This movie is not for everyone". It can be kinda slow and there are parts that are just super confusing. You must first understand this is a time traveling movie. So parts you may be watching the "Past" him or "Future" him. Keep your head up and dont look away you may miss something.

  • Honorable Mentions - The Fly (1986), Star Wars (of course), The CUBE (1-2, not 3), Being John Malkovich (1999), and well you get the idea.. I could go on for days.

Below are a few pieces of art that i have done. Some of the work are old hand drawings, some digital photoshops, and others are Illustrator work. I hope you all like the imagery.

Hi, My name is Andrew Kuntze-Vogt. This is part of my Digital Design Studio Self-Analysis.

  •     There is a multitude of things i would love to do as a design professional. Designing posters for movies, games, or music. I also love to do intros for things. I have done a few video intros for people on youtube. I cant show those and id rather not say which youtubes i made footage for. I have also done intros for my community website and my own youtube channel. I will leave atleast 1 video intro i did at the bottom of the page. More if i am able. So i am greatly faceinated by video. I love how video can change how you feel or make you feel a certain way. Music obvisiously playing a big part in that. So if i see myself anywhere, it would have to be in video. i really enjoy cuting footage and piecing it back together to tell a story and not always in the traditional way.

  • Once i get finished with school and have my degree i would love to start doing a lot more designs for people and companys. I am doing them now for a small group on and off.  Have also been talking with a few films guys about doing a short film. Which would be great. Its right down the path id like to take.

  • My strengths as a designer would have to be my love for the work. I find myself at times looking at my watch 4,5, and 6 am. Not realizing i was up that late just working on a project. I get lost in my work and tend to put more time into then needed. Sometimes it can drain me, but i also know as a designer when to just quit for the day and get some much needed rest and finish it tomorrow.

  • As stated in my last bullet i tend to stay up a bit much from time to time killing my sleep schedule. Also i would have to say that i am a bit OCD at times and dont know when to let something be. I can find myself at times trying to fix something that doesnt need to be fixed or wasting time on something, when i dont need to be.

  • I feel like my portfolio is missing a really good short film piece. To show of what i really enjoy to do. Which is creating a story and creating emotion within it. I am getting ready to start a short film soon. SO hopefully i can have that in my protfolio soon.

  • First i will be creating folders and really orginizing my portfolio artwork. I have a lot of it. Once i have that and cut into catogories i would like to start work on pieces that my portfolio is lacking. I have sketches galore, a lot of illutrator work, and also a few intros made from after effects. So to really get my portfolio where it should be i will be doing a few more after effect intro pieces. Also i will do my best to get the short film started.

Below is a video i did while playing a game by the name of DayZ (PC). Probably my favorite game of all time ATM. I will tell you a little about it before you watch.

The Game itsself is an Open world Survival Horror. When you first start the game you will start with NOTHING and must scavange the massave world for supplies to live. You will be on the search for food, clothes, drinks, GUNS, ammo, and more. While doing this you must be wary of "Zombies" as they will eat you. Though the zombies are not your will problem. You will be playing on a server with about 30-50 other people and there lies the problem. Everyone is LOOTING just like you. Some people will be cool and help you in your time of need. Others will just KILL you and take all your stuff. You must always be on your toes and a friendly reminder from a DayZ veteran. DO NOT TRUST ANYONE.

This video will show you why.

To start off i do not know anyone in this video and are all what i consider "Randys" random people in game. I only met the one guy i was running with minutes before and we went on search for a spark plug to get a car working. When we run into other "FRIENDLY" people. Watch and see how things turn out. Definitly a fun watch if you are into video games.
